Costa comes to Stamford

Costa, the authentic Italian coffee shop chain, has just opened in the High St in Stamford, and judging by the first few days it is going to be a roaring success.

The opening has produced over 10 new jobs in the local area, ranging from management positions to Costa’s famous ‘Baristas’, the Italian name for a coffee expert.

Costa’s highly trained baristas are coached in the art of coffee making at the company’s Costa Coffee Academy, which is based at its own roastery in Lambeth, London. This is where Costa’s coffee beans are slow roasted using a traditional Italian method to give its smooth distinctive, Costa flavour.

Following an investment in excess of £200,000, the new Costa store boasts fresh and contemporary décor complete with quality interiors and comfortable leather sofas.

Liz Ward, the Store Manager, started out with Costa in Peterborough and is local to the area as well as being very passionate about Costa. She has recruited a local team and is determined to offer the best quality coffee, drinks and cakes/pastries and a friendly service. Success for her will be making people feel welcome and seeing them return time after time.

Costa would also be very happy to receive groups (e.g. book clubs, mum’s groups, societies etc), either during opening hours or immediately afterwards, and provide a space and service.
