Store it opened in May 2006 when MD Denise Taylor spotted a gap in the market. The trend for smaller homes, more people working from home and ever increasing commercial running costs mean that living and prime working space need to be utilised to their full potential creating a demand for storage facilities.

Aware that Stamford didn’t have such a facility, Denise designed and fitted out the premises formerly Swift Cars in Cherryholt Lane.

Winning the runner-up place in the Best New Business Category in the Mercury Awards last year gave the business a huge boost and an opportunity to network with like-minded businesses to see what other facilities the town needed. Following this Store It began providing furnished office accommodation and private car parking spaces for those who commute daily or live close by.

This year Store it expanded even further securing a lease of the adjacent former Learn Direct building in Brownlow Street which has now been converted into small warehouse units which can be let on a long or short term basis.

The whole business is monitored 24 hours a day by CCTV with a high tech door entry system allowing unlimited 7 day per week access to the modern, clean heated and lit units. The units vary in size starting from a walk-in locker to garage size lock–ups and prices start from £9.00 per week. A man and a van are available at a fraction of the cost of self hire.
