The Tobie Norris has just won a CAMRA Gold award for the complete re-furbishment of the pub and the re-introduction of real ales. John Hunt, Vice-Chairman of Peterborough and District CAMRA said in the citation “This refurbishment has been an incredible achievement, it is awesome and fantastic. Will Fry is a very capable landlord and his beers are superb, and congratulations are also due to Simon, the master brewer of Ufford Ales, and Mick Thurlby, the owner, who had the vision to see through the project.”

The Gold award was made as a result of commendations from regional CAMRA members. The Tobie Norris will now be put forward for the Regional Pub of the Year award, which will be voted on by CAMRA members this month. Good luck to the Tobie Norris.

And following their successful beer festival in December, the Tobie Norris will be running a series of four beer festivals during 2008, where you will be able to try out over 20 different beers. And there are five real ales always on tap at the bar.
